I currently have 3.71 M33-2 and was wondering if i should upgrade it to 5.00 M33. What are some advantages and disadvantages from upgrading custom firmwares and should I upgrade?
Hey, I found this site that details the change logs for each firmware release. M33 Firmware Releases Check it out... It might help you decide if you want to upgrade. Another reason I will be upgrading... NesterJ beta 1.2 (the NES emulator) won't run on my PSP, without upgrading to the newer custom firmware. Hope this helps!
I actually just upgraded from 3.9 m33 to the 5.00 m33-3. I didn't actually see much of a difference, but the Playstation Store is now available on your XMB. Also, there was a sleep timer available for the music player and the ability to play video files at faster/slower speeds. Other than, that...I didn't really realize anything else. But, its always good to upgrade I guess...to m33 I mean (lol).
yea there isn't really much different but with new firmwares the homebrews need to be upgraded and changed too and most times the developers do more then just a firmware patch they usually add new features or take advantage of new things so thats another reason to upgrade because not all the latest homebrew that work on 5.00 M33-3 will work on lower firmware
