very newbie here... I have been trying to burn a dvd from one that I have on the HD and it keeps coming up "Failed to open file" "The system cannot find the file Specified" (both are when dvd shrink 3.2 is used) So I tried with dvd decrypter and it says...Invalid or unsupported image file format.
I am very confuse...and the more I read/and try to do what has been listed on other threads...the more confused I get...along with more things being downloaded on the computer...haha
please send help...very needed.. I would like to learn this so that I can backup other dvd's also.
    Thanks:)

you need to take a couple of breaths first and then give us a detailed report of a few things.

what are the file types that you are trying to get to dvd.
are they converted to mpeg 2 yet and if not what programs are you using to get them to mpeg2
    what media are you using
what are the source of the files: were they dvd/files downloaded etc

i see you have shrink and decrypter: what versions.

It seems for starters that the files that you are trying to get to dvd are not in the right format and are needed to be converted to mpeg2

    shrink 317...decrypter 3.5.4.0 ( I'm kinda new to all this...sorry)

File types...would this be the avi? no, they still need to be converted, I tried doing this by using MainConcept mpeg encoder 1.04.02.00 (as listed in another thread) This one told me "no video data found" This is a downloaded movie...if thats what your asking.
Maybe file type is the video_TS.IFO ???

Do you think you can help me:(

i had trouble with main concept that after the conversion had sound for 18 mins then nothing.Suggest you try vso divx to dvd , currently it is free on the net, just google for it.

this program can convert avi/divx/xvid/mpeg1 and 4 to mpeg 2 compatable or dvd movie format ready then for you to use your nero etc to burn to disc or tmpgenc dvd author to add menus etc before what ever burning agent you have to disc
