Was just wondering if there is a way to set shoutcast to a certain station when I turn on my box, I can't handle all that Dance music...Thanx
depends what your dashboard is. I know that in xbmc there's a python script that will allow you to have startup music,if you edit the script to use a shoutcast pls file it should do what you want.
I have the xbmc. as soon as I turn on my box it plays shoutcast for me, but I wanna set it so it only plays the edge station which I can get through shoutcast, how would I go about doing that?...If it's possible
if you goto the shoutcast webpage and right click on the station that you want,you can save a shortcut to that station. Now in your xbmc there will be one of these shortcuts already,(that's what it's going to right now)...so all you do is rename the new shortcut to whatever the one in your xbox is called. Then ftp it into the directory that the old one is in right now. Now it should startup the new one when it boots up. At least that's the way i had mine setup....dunno how yours is exactly.
