showing video from a computer via a TV output

    does any body know the answer as to why when you try to veiw a AVI playing on your pc while using your tv as a monitor (using the tv out function on the graphics card)it doesnt show? some people have already asked this question but still no answers?

    Please can any one shed a light on this!!!
