Someone help me please it's driving me nuts! I can't seem to go into fullscreen mode without either having black bars to the top, bottom AND both sides or having the picture stretched. I've tried all different combinations of settings to no effect. Why can't I just simply set it so that it fits my screen with the correct aspect ratio??
I am not the expert here on this subject. The aspect ratio of the movie is set and depending on what that is, may or may not fit your screen. What is the aspect ratio of the movie you are trying to make fit? What resolution are you running your monitor? If you play a movie on TV it may not fit exactly, so you may see black bars on top and bottom or all four sides, depending on how it is being transmitted. The same thing happens on the monitor. Try not using fullscreen and playing with the size of the window and watch what happens to the bars.
