I have been using shrink for years,no problems, all of a sudden my "backup DVD's" will only play on a PC?
Have reinstalled Shrink and tried again with no preference alterations at all...result...back up's will only work on my PC not on DVD stand alones.
I can use these useless DVD copies to make more copies using Clone and they are fine and work on a DVD player.
What could be set incorrectly in Shrinks preferences that causes this problem?

This does not sound like a DVD Shrink problem. It sounds more like a burning problem.
What program is doing the burning?
    What media are you using?
Posting a burn log could provide all the information we need.

if your auto burning with nero 8 after using dvd shrink thats the problem. you need to create a ISO file to the HDD first then burn with nero 8 or autoburn with imgburn instead. you will need to download this to autoburn with imgburn

Thank you to all for your suggestions.
I am using Nero 8 in autoburn mode.Using Verbatim disc's.
The non playing Disc copy information is:UDF/ISO 9660(mode 1)
I understand all your suggestions but what and were in Nero 8
is the preferences set to burn disc's as ISO 9660 and not a format that DVD players use?
Is Nero 8 all that different to Nero 6 or 7 which I have used in the past with no problems.

    Thanks all again.

you need to set it up in dvdshrink, create an ISO to the HDD then open nero 8 find the ISO and burn ,it should playback fine look below
