I tried to burn the Punisher got the following error message : shrink encountered error
    programming error exception occured
    parameter is incorrect

I've burned about 20 dvds using the decrypter iso image, shrink, nero methods. This is the only problem i've had with shrink. The only other problem i've had was with The Longest Yard but that was in decrypter and i got it to work. But, everytime i try to backup Punisher i get the errors and i've tried to about 5 times. Anybody have a similar problem or know what this means?

ok. I just burned Die Hard and it worked fine. Now i'm getting error messages in shrink while its analysing the second disc with the extras. Should i just delete/reinstall shrink? I burned a bunch of dvds now i'm getting errors on every other thing i try to do with shrink.

If my memory serves me correct, DVD Shrink will not do "Punisher" on its own. It must be ripped with DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 or similar first.

Make sure you have the latest version of DVD Decrypter.

The latest Version is Currently: Version 3.5.4.0

Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO" or the actual "VIDEO_TS" folder.

A good tutorial on how to accomplish this is located here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45238

Download DVD Decrypter version 3.5.4.0 here: http://mrbass.org/dvdrip/

i used decrypter to make an ISO image on my hard drive then when i went to back it up it gives me the errors. What is the unreferenced material?? Maybe i'll try another method instead.

Rip in "File" mode, not "ISO" mode.

Alright, i'll try that and see. I've never done file mode. Is this better then doing an ISO. I just do ISO because its easy. Do I have to use dvd fab? or can it all be done decrypter and shrink? The guide i was looking at used all three i think.
