Hey if someone could point me in the right direction of what might be causing me problems.....please let me know to start off with im using Verbatim 16 x dvd-r discs....im using thoses discs with a Sony Dru-710a.....and im using Dvd Shrink with that burner...and than using Nero to burn the files NOW to the problem.....not all discs but enough to get on your nerves.....the movie will fully burn and ill come back to watch it on my dvd player on my tv at a later time and the movie is great as usual but toward the last chapters 1 maybe 2 and also the credits will begin to be choppy...meaning (frequently it will kinda freeze and ill miss what was said) this makes it very hard to finish a movie BUT If i am to take that dvd and use nero to copy that dvd to another disc it fixes the problem.....so that would mean its not the files im using a computer with over 1 gig of ram.....plenty of hard disc space.
What version of Nero are you using, and is your burner firmware up to date? Are you saying the end of the movie and credits become choppy, or the end of chapters 1 and 2? If it is the end of the movie and credits, sounds like you might be burning too close to the edge of the DVD. In Shrink, click "edit" then "preferences". Under the "preferences Tab: Change "Target DVD Size" from DVD-5 to "custom". Change the custom size to 4300 MB. This will stop you from burning too close to the edge of the disc. Hopefully this will help solve your problem.
Ebega, thank you that should fix it......and yes its the ending chapters/credits..... and i actually have a earlier firmware for my sony because the newer firm ware causes everything to take VERY VERY long and also the newer firmware doesnt allow my burner to burn as fast but anyways chaging the max to 4300 should do the trick...thank you very much
