For my first 5 DVDs Shrink would analyze and encode at about 6k. 9k on occasion. Making my total backup/burn time a little under an hour. But now I'd be lucky if it can stay at 1k for over 10 mintutes. It's usually ends up to be around 800b. I don't have the "Deep Analysis" box checked and the quality enhancement thing is at default. Any ideas?
check and see if your drive is in pio mode, it should be in dma mode here is a guide http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm peace
It's in dma mode. I guess now I'll just uninstall it. Unless you guys have any other suggetions. Any idea what happened though?
1st, make sure you don't have a lot of things running at the same time. Check your task manager and turn off all of what's not necessary. 2nd, run a sweep on your computer and clean up and defrag for better efficiency, then uninstall and reinstall DVD Shrink. Oh, don't multi-task or browse the net while it's reading or burning. Copying a dvd uses a great deal of your computer resources. Hope this helps. Happy burning.
Well I don't have anything running in the baclground. I leave the computer and go watch tv. I defrag weekly. I use disk cleanup on an almost daily basis. I I clean my registry on a monthly basis. Also I've gone ahead and reinstalled Shrink. It's fine now.
