I just got a shuttle FN45 yesterday and I opened it up and installed new ram. when I went to turn it on it didn't work so I used to jumper to clear the CMOS and it booted fine and i went into the bios and set everything up. After I was done I saved the settings and rebooted where it came up with a screen that said "Warning! New setting is updating now. Do not Reset or Shutdown the system" I left it like that for about 10 mins and it was still on the screen so I restarted and got a blank screen. I then reset the CMOS and it didn't work, then I tried what my manual said which it to turn off the computer and unplug the computer for 30 seconds and then to press <Insert> and then turn on the computer and continue to hold <Insert> and it POST. It didn't do that. I checked the video card in another pc and it was fine. When it boots the cd-rom keeps starting up and stopping and everything seems fine. What should I do.
This link shows a similar problem to yours, where they had to upgrade the BIOS to fix it. http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/forums/viewthread/94125/
well, I got some good news. I hot flashed the bios on the chip through another computer and it is working again.
