Can anyone recommend a good graphics card that satisfies the following: - silent cooling (no fan, just a silent pipe) - HDMI out - built-in HDCP - good experience watching 1080i resolution (no messy set-ups) I've been following the GS 7600 series however GIGABYTE just announced yet another delay in the release of their silent HDMI card (they announced the thing in August and it still isn't available!). Does anyone know of an ATI equivalent that is available in North America (Canada)? It will likely be the X1300 ot X1600 line I suspect. So far there seems to be lots of hype but no action with these silent home theatre cards.
I guess no one has a recommendation on this topic. Is there anything I should avoid buying? What are the dogs out there for home theatre cards?
I have the XFX 7950 GT, which I like a lot. Although it does not have HDMI out, it's a simple matter of a DVI to HDMI adapter. Beware of the high heatsync. http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/listConfigurationDetails.jspa?productConfigurationId=638442 Tom
try this, not silent, but nothing is if you want to keep it cool and protect your vid card as well as the rest of your pc. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121028
