The following information is stored on your SIM card:

International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) Number - Number that uniquely identifies you as a subscriber on the network. The number is made up of three parts: a 3-digit mobile country code, a 2-digit mobile network code, and a (up to) 10-digit mobile subscriber identify number.

Mobile Subscriber ISDN (MSISDN) Number - Your mobile telephone number. (ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network.)

SIM PIN - A Personal Identification Number (PIN). To change this number, go to the Jump screen, then press Menu and select Settings > Key Guard & Security. This code protects your SIM from being used by another person in another Sidekick in the event it is lost or stolen.

SMS Messages - Short Message Service messages that you receive and save. Text messages use the SMS. Note: outgoing messages ("sent") are not saved to the SIM.

Contact Information - Contact information (name & number) is only stored on your SIM if you’ve used your SIM previously in a mobile phone and stored names and numbers in that phone.

no because the phone number is stored in the sim

you just take the sim out and put it into the new phone, make sure it allows all networks ie unlocked
