    Hi...

I just installed Sim City 4 and using Daemon Tools, however it does not run. Even when i put in the supplied exe instead of the regular one, it still asks me to insert the correct cd. Is this a problem with Daemon Tools or is there something i'm missing?

    Thanks

I don't know anything about 'correct exe'. We canniot help on the use of cracks.

More in general: Safedisc 2.8 reads ATIP and can detect a CD-R (backup) disc.

Try emulating some 'Hide CDR Media' feature (e.g. CloneCD tray, Alcohol 120% 'Ignore Media', dunno which Daemon Tools option you should use) and keep the image of the 2nd CD mounted on the same drive you used for installation.

Both discs [bold] are [/bold] Safedisc 2.8.x protected. Mount both of the images and then use Safedisc emulation m8 then install.

But he [bold]managed [/bold] to install. So maybe there is only the CD-Check part of the proection left.. is it?

The installing of Sim City 4 is really meaningless as of now simply because tibi can't play the backup. What options do you have ticked while running Daemon Tools in system tray? (startup). You should have Safedisc and Laserlock enabled and click cd 1 to play the game m8.

Thanks for your help... i tried all that and it still didn't work... so i got the no-cd crack... and that seemed to do it.

Very strange tibi but glad to hear you got the game to play. I backed up Sim City 4& Command& Conquer Generals (Safedisc 2.8.x) cd protected and played them on my secondary pc with Daemon Tools with no problems at all. Backups were burned with my Polaroid BurnMAX48x (2 sheep burner).

    Shoey :)
