Sim City 4 .bin files burn, install, but then won't load

I have 2 backup .bin files of Sim City 4. I converted them to .iso and then used adaptec to burn them. Adaptec has always worked well for me with iso. They seem to burn correctly and then install correctly. However once I try to start the game it doesn't do anything. It acts as if the game is about to start but then it stays at the desktop.

Is there some sort of new protection that would allow the files to be created, burned, and then installed but NOT let the game load?

If anyone has any suggestions or insight, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I do not know. I have read that Simcity 4 is protected with SafeDisc2. You can be sure that conversion to .ISO is wrong, because you lose information about the copy protection scheme.

If you want to know how to bypass it, you should ask in another forum (this forum does not deal with patching/cracking/piracy. In general, I can only tell you that, in order to keep all information included in a CD (i.e. to make a perfect 1-1 copy), you need a proper - more CD copy oriented than EZCD - application and a good CD-burner.

Sometime even this is not enough to have a working copy and you need a patch.
