    1. SimCity4 is protected with Safedisc 2.80.010 (Both Disc's) which means CloneCD is not sufficient... at least not if you use any default schemes or whatever

    2. Pay a visit to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/23699 to learn how to backup SD2

Not true m8 Although there are reports that CloneCD is a "hit& miss" when backing up Safedisc 2.x, "most" 2 sheep burners have success using CloneCD. An example of a brand name that is "hit& miss"= certain model LiteOn. This is why many believe Macrovision (makers of Safedisc cd protection) has "targeted" Litey drives. What is the brand name and model make of your cd burner? You'll need the aid of an ATIP tool (hide cd-r\ignore media type) to play your backups in your burner. Did cd 1 launch in your dvd\cd-rom?
Alcohol 120% is the other option here m8.

    hi,
the brand name of my burner is aopen, modal 48x12x50 justlink highspeed. disc 1 acted the same in both drives.
i downloaded alcohol 120% yesterday, not tried it yet. what dos it mean "burn at the lowest possible speed", can you elaborate on that.
and whats with the sheep ??.

    thanks for the replies.
i saw and followed shoeys tutorial on the main page "Alcohol 120 1.4.3.518 conquers Safedisc 2.8.x with 1 sheep burner" and it seems ok.
I've only played for 1-2 minutes, probably needs a long test.
i did notice the sound was slightly crackly when the mouse was moved around. I'd still like to know how many sheep i have:)

    You own a "1 sheep burner m8"
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/45121

Backups of Safedisc 2.x should be played in your cd burner with the aid of an ATIP tool (ignore media type= Alcohol 120%).

Uninstall Alcohol 120%>reboot and then try and play the backup in your burner.Chances are your backup won't launch . Alcohol 120% has "built in emulation" in the program.
