Similar program to sonic mydvd...

    I am looking for a program similar to mydvd, I did have mydvd but the computer has decided to hate it with a passion and I had to get rid of it... ashame cause it was a great program and so easy to use, I could get 5 ep of desperate housewives on to one dvd amazing.... anyway looking around and I got ulead DVD Movie Factory and I am very annoyed with it I can only stick 2 ep of desperate housewives on to one dvd and the quality is awful very jerky and just blah!!!

    Can anyone recommond another program similar to mydvd that I be able to use...

    Sonic purchased Roxio and has since incorporated MyDvd into the easy media creator suite. I warn you I was a big fan of MediaCreator and I still use it but not for Dvd backup instead I use Nero Express for dvd creation and burning. The New MyDvd does give better overall video results but takes far to long and although the settings are there to put up to 4 hours of video on one disc they are sort of hidden.
    I became a Nero 7 convert if you want a free program that can do the job try VSo Divx to DVD freeware version is avaialble on AFterdawn but the paid version which doesn't cost much can transcode your files add chapters and ac-3 5.1 sound for a mere $29

    I know of VSO and all that and I use them but I want a program where I can have a menu opition at the front os just say I can py 5 ep of a tv show and say "I want to watch ep 3" and choose that and watch that ep and you cant do that with VSO and Shrink and all those convert and burn programs... thats why I used mydvd cause it was good until the pc didnt like it anymore...

    So thats why I need something similar to mydvd so I can have a menu opition in the beginning of the dvd...

    Nero express does all that you want menus and chapters

    Does it? I have nero express but when I used it I never seen it let me do that hmmmm maybe I need to check it out more.

    I just check my nero express (6) and gives you no opition to burn anything on dvd... only VCD ect ect so my cant do what you said..
