simple 6280 question

I just won a 6280 on e-bay locked to 3.I've searched around a bit and got the message that i can't unlock the phone without speaking to 3. what i want to know is if the phone will be locked to 3 or to to a specific sim - i.e can i get a 3 pay as you go sim and use the phone or will i still need to get a code? got no problem using 3 if i have to,

You will have to use 3 until you can beat them out of a code to unlock.

 

not a problem was just a bit worried i'd be stuck with a useless phone till then! thanks for the quick response - just to be safe - if i buy a new pay as u go sim from 3 it will definitely work in the phone? sorry to be a pain but it was a bit of an impulse buy and i'm getting cold feet!

 

I would take the phone to 3 yourself and make them install the sim and make sure it works before you leave. I'm sure it will do fine but if you want to be safe, take it to them and they will do it for you.
