So here is what i want to do: 1) I have 2 wav files and each wav file is different (call it wavA and wavB). 2) I want to take the LEFT channel from wavA and the RIGHT channel from wavB and i want to join them together in to one wav file called wavC. Sounds simple enough right? From what i have found, it is not this simple if the wav files in question are 500+ MB each. Does anyone know of a way i can do what i set out above? The only way i think MIGHT work is to convert these two large wav files into MP3 format and use an MP3 editor to do it (making the files a managable size) but i don't know of an editor that can split and join channels. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ceres
sonic foundrys sound forge 6 can do it all but it will cost you $350 http://www.sonicfoundry.com/Products/showproduct.asp?PID=668
Wow... that might be a little bit overkill for this one time operation. Anyone else have any suggestions? Preferably something a bit cheaper? Ceres
try goldwave ( www.goldwave.com )..the price is right -free .. not sure how well it will work with 500mb wav file. But i think it's more how much memmory your computer has.
