simple movie problem

    can you ftp avi files directly to your xbox and watch them or do you have to convert them to mpeg 2 first??? cause i cant seem to convert my files to mpeg 2 so im trying to find another way to watch them on my tv.

    Yes you can use avi files. I have a guns and roses video on mine in avi format.

    yes if u have xbmc or xbmp then they will support avi files.

    If you have your xbox on a network with a pc running winxp,just make sure that your pc can see the xbox. Then whatever folders you have SHARED on the network will be shown in the WORKGROUPS bookmark in XMBC. This way you don'thave to transfer anything and you can just stream the video or music to your xbox.

    damn i didnt even know that i usually transfer them to my harddrive now that will save me a lot of time.
