Hello, Im here cuz I didnt find a better thread to post my message, well the things is that I bought a copy of Sims 2 Nightlife and as soon as the game starts the PC crashes and restarts and it doesnt detect my HD, BIOS says its not bootable, then I turn my PC off and wait for about 15 mins then it works fine, when I go to the Windows Logs Manager ( Event Viewer ) it shows 2 errors related to the HD: Event ID 9 and 51. This has never happened before it started around 20 mins later I ran the game. I think the problem is related to the custom content warning before I go into a neighborhood, it allows me whether to activate the content but warns me that it may cause trouble, its really annoying, What u guys think about that? BTW Im running the game on Daemon tools ;)

    Thanks

    Cadu

Why would you be running an game you bought off Daemon Tools? Do you have sims 2 installed?

Of course I have the sims 2 installed, and Daemon tools means that Im using a backed up copy of the game, The problem is that whenever I run the game the PC restarts and wont boot up then after a while I try booting up and it works, and that whole thing happened after I installed the COPY of Sims 2 Nightlife

Hi, I'm having a similar problem. After I loaded sims2 nightlife and played it for a couple of days I started to have problems. When I go to play it now I get the messege "CD/DVD emulalation software detected, please disable and re-start the game". I am playing the game with the disc but it won't allow me to have damon tools on my pc. I still get the messege even though I have removed Damon from my pc.It appear as though I havn'y removed it completely.
Any Ideas would be great help.

Its probably still in your registry. Hmm...sneaky programmers. They porbably put something in it to not run if any type of virtual drive is detected to prevent people from using downloaded games.

Thanks, I found the problem. On the sims web page in the FAQ was the answer I was looking for. The problem was CD Clone. Once I diabled it, the program worked fine.

Ok if you think it is reltaed to your CC then go to my docs/sims2/downloads and remove the downloads folder and place it on your desk top. Also the saved sims folder. Then restart you game. IF if worked then Yes it was some of the CC you had downloaded. So then what you have to do it put in a few files at a time RESTART your game. and so on. What I do so that I dont get the "Working" CC mixed with what I am teasting is I make sub folders and sort things in to them. So that way I never have 10,000 files open in my downloads folder I have 10 sub folders that I can sort easy. you will then find the bad file fast. Delete it. Then please tell me if this has helped.
