Hey everyone Okay, For the past 2 days i have been going around different sites, reading things about burning images, mounting drives, and tons upon tons of other junk, and am honestly soooo very lost. Okay so I dled this thing from bittorrent but i cannot figure this out. The game came in 4 .mds files and 4 .mdf files. Now i have no clue what to do in order to get the game fully functioning and working. So basically i'm looking for someone who has a bit of time on their hands and doesn't mind helping me through a complete walkthough of converting the files i have now all the way to me actually starting the game and it running correctly. Anyone that is interested please AIM: tehjoggy or post on this forum, as i will be checking it quite regularly. Thanks a ton.

    hi

i think from memory the they should have file names so you load the one file in and it pulls the rest in? so no worries if all in same folder?

but do it 4 times for 4 cds

also is the protection gone already as alcohol can sort that!

Well not really too sure about anythign you just said But i have 4 mds files and 4 mdf files, the mds files are labeled Sims2_1 and the mdf files are also labeled Sims2_1 So would i drag and drops the MDF and MDS file Sims2_1 onto the first CD burn that and then do the same except with a 2nd disc and the Sims2_2 MDf and MDS files?

    hi

1 file should be actual size of disc and other is a very small file, i think you load the small file...

games have copy protection has it been sorted out already ro do you have to sort the copy protection out?

its probably done if from a site???

so its basically just burn to cd

but each should have oits unique file volume label wehn burnt!

Okay so should I burn the smaller one onto the cd or the larger one, I'm also noticing that 3 of the files are 730,000Kbs or so will those fit on a normal CD? Also what would i want to use as the write method? The choices are RAW DAO // DAO/SAO // TAO and would i want to make it a simulation?

    hi

tjhere should be 8 files 2 for each cd! load the small one it carries the burn info and it auto pulls the big one for you!

try 1 disc then try to load it se if it works!

sims used to caryy SAFEDISC protection, but may be sorted now if downloaded

Yeah coulda been, But it worked fine i Think i ran it put in my cd key and started installing and it asked for the 2nd cd so thats burning now, I'll poat back after everything has been installed. Is it safe to assume that I won't have any problems with safedisc or any other burn protection software?
