Hi bober Simulation just 'tests' the burning. Kinda of a proactive way to see if it will be a successful burn. No data is written to the disc during simulation. But even if simulation is successful doesn't mean the actually burn will be. I haven't used it in quite some time. But if you're using iffy media or playing with the settings might be a good idea to see if at least the simulation is successful.
