Hi, does anyone know why with some ordinary DVD-movies the Main Movie-size is way bigger than 4.7GB even though the length of the movie is for instance only 90 minutes and only one audio stream is selected?
not sure exactly... examples? One thing I could think of is if there is standard and widescreen on same side..
One way this could be possible is if you have 2 DVD's One of the DVD's has an audio stream that is AC3-2.0 and the other DVD has an audio stream that is in AC3-5.1 The DVD with the audio stream of AC3-5.1 will be larger due to the audio stream.
Examples: Man of the House (2005/I) (100min.), The Weather Man (2005)(101min.), Out of Time (2003/I) (101min.) and Wayne's World (90 min.)
Also for instance in Breakfast Club the size of video only is 4510MB although it's length is just 93min.
What does it matter anyway? There is nothing you can do about it. Either burn it with a DVD9 disc or transcode/encode it to fit a DVD5
