hi mate dont know where you live(thats important info in order to get the best help on any forum like this)but not to worry.i live in ireland in cork my supplier is ch-rus the frequency for ppv or box office as ypu call it is 306000 (64 qam) 6875ksps.but saying that an auto scan on most boxes should find this frequency.only thing is this channel is only on at various times meaning when such sporting events are available for broadcasting.good luck my friend.
cheers for the reply mate, i live in liverpool an my provider is v**gin! thanks for the frequency's my box may have found the frequancy and i may just be looking when there is no ppv on, so next time there is something on i will search again, is it worth doing a scan when there is ppv on will that find the channel because it is being broadcast. any more help will be appreciated.
ppv channel should already be programmed in to your box along with sky bbc itv and all the other channels,i would say you should have around 140 tv channels give or take few,and lots more radio channels.some times they move the channels around the frequencies,so that a channel might not work or you might find you cant find it at all.what to do is first do a factory reset(dont worry this wont harm your box)press menu scroll down to factory setting press ok,on you screen you will be asked to type in your password(the same password you always use for locking certain channels so kids cant watch)if you never used a password ever try typing in 0000 thats the default password.you will then see press ok to delete, press ok.now your back on to languages press ok on english, press ok on installation,on cable network scroll right to find virgin, then scroll downto auto scan and press ok,your box will now have cleared dud channels that dont work and will be scanning and installing all channels again and any new ones, when the scan is done you will see a box on screen saying how man channels found, press exit, press exit again, now with installation highlighted using your remote type in 1570(this opens the secret menu)you will see nagravision highlighted, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to key emu,if it says off scroll right and change it to on.press exit, press exit again, your now back to tv channels, from here have a look through all channels hope fully you will have ppv channel in your channel listing(but you may not have any programs on it)and maybe a few new channels.if not as you say when you know they are broadcasting ppv on virgin do a a scan again, that might work also,or look on this sight for a listing of virgin frequencies.best of luck mate.
thank you very much piopat for the reply i will be sure 2 try all of what you mentioned and hopefully be able to watch ppv! thanks again mate.
Hi all, Any suggestions how to restore sport channels as well as the few films channels that went today? I live in Waterford and have a s***view box, I am on n*l, Thanks for any help.
if your on ntl in waterford your probably experiencing the ntl switchover, meaning your starview and all other cable boxes including the official ntl cable boxes that use nagra2 system to unscramble the channels soon will not work, they are changing the system to nagra3 (meaning ntl)with chorus folliwing soon. how they are doing this is they are changing cards of all paying customers to the new nagra3 card(even if you have a real ntl box it wont work without a new card)and as we speak there is no box/software fix/or official card hacks that work a fix may be along way off.that said you could try a factory reset then re scan your box and ensure to switch on your emu.to find emu when you have scanned for channels press menu and on language type in 1570 then press ok scroll down to the bottom of your screen and switch key emu on by highlighting it and scrolling right, then exit back to your tv channels.this may be of use as often ntl or chorus will move the channels around the frequencies.good luck.
