How's this for the mother of all evil. I go and use FabDVD to rip Sky HIgh onto the PC. Everything is cool and fine, rips, life is good. So I open Nero Recode, like I do for everytime for every other dvd i burn. It gets to about 22% complete analyzing, and coughs up a hairball. It says I've run out of memory. Ok, so we've all seen that error before, no big deal. But try this out. NOTHING WORKS WITH NERO RECODE NOW! I cannot even load the program. I click on it for Nero 7, and it blinks the arrow, and that's it. No program. So I have uninstalled Nero 7 4 times now, even gone back to Nero 6 and installed the updates. Nero Recode won't even install. Now what in the world has Disney done to my computer? I can't get DVDFab to burn movies, Nero Recode is gone. This is absolutely insane. I've been using Nero Recode for years without issue, and now one movie has made it impossible for me to do anything.

If you burn alot of DVD's I would highly recomend defraging on weekly basic or at least once a month.. I pefer to do it once a week that way I know everything should be in order and working properly... Defraging and disc cleanups are a big thing if you do alot of multimedia and disc burning.... ANYDVD + SHRINK/NERO RECODE/CLONEDVD2 all work fine... ANYDVD is definately worth the investment
This is NOT a defragging issue. I just ran that last week. And I happen to have a terabyte of hardrive to work with. All my ripped movies go into storage on a network drive, when I encode them to compress them, they go to an external USB 2.0 drive, and then go to DVD burning. In 2 years, no amount of defragging, not defragging, or anything else has made it impossible to use a burner program. I have more storage space than most people could work with. I have 541 gigs in the server, another 430 in NDAS drives, an SATA 160 for my root drive, and the 80 USB 2.0. There is no strain on my system doing this.
this movie has [bold] RIPGUARD [/BOLD] thats your problem ,use CloneDVD 2 with the lastest verison of anydvd which is 5.6.1.1 this will do the movie
ATTN: Newbies & those that doesn't have the latest from AnyDVD Looks like SKY HIGH carried another similar RipGuard protection just like "Madagascar". To solve the problem, you'll need VobBlanker. Below is the method I used and it "works 100%", yeah... that's right. Easy way is to have VobBlanker "BLANK" out PGC 2 and PGC 3 of VTS_01_*.VOB, then "PROCESS" and you'll have a successfully working full disc within 35 minutes. I guarantee you..!! Again, that is what I did and it works for me -- got the full disc, tested/watched it and it plays flawlessly. 1) rip it with DVD Decrypter via File Mode 2) open up VobBlanker, click on VTS_01_*.VOB and "BLANK" out PGC 2 & PGC 3, click "PROCESS" -- now sit back and relax it will be done shortly. 3) import into Nero Recode 2 and just encode it as usual (or you can import into DVD Shrink and shrink it the usual process) 4) now burn this baby (SKY HIGH) with any of your burning engines. (That's it.... easy as sippin' on some Hennessey). Enjoyed it and happy burning..!!!
