slave primary hard drive in pio mode

    I have a Western digital Hard drive in PIO mode.It is set up as a slave drive on my primary channel. If I uninstall the primary ide channel to fix my slave hard drive will it affect the master primary hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.

    You should be able to do just that. In my sig there is a link, check it out for it has a guide on resetting devices from PIO back to DMA.
