Lots of confusion going on here. I think I understand but want to confirm. I will be flashing the 4977 (after converting to 1 meg bios.bin) to a x2lite chip. Once installed I would boot up with the slayers disc and that should install evox. I read somewhere that evox needs the evox bin? Is that only if I plan on swapping the hard drive? The 4977 should work for backups on cd-rw, etc. correct? Will slayers install to the hard drive already there or will I have to boot up with it every time? Thanks in advance.
Actually the file I downloaded says 2.4 so either its a newer version or someone renamed it incorrectly. Will slayers also flash the bios or is that still required before hand? I've decided to swap the drive so do I need something other than 4977 if I plan on storing games there? Also is there any special settings I need to know before burning slayers to disk?
wow, if there is a 2.4, i need to get on the ball!! lol. no special setting at all, just burn the iso as an image. the 4977 bios should be fine but slayers wont do it for you, you cn flash after you install it, but you gotta have a bios on the chip before you do anything. how big is the file for this slayers2.4?
Its 217 megs and was created on June 30. Thanks for the info, I bought a programmer as I read that its easier that way (and in case I messed it up the first time) so I'll do it that way. Again thanks for the help.
