So I just got a second 8800GTX which, as you all probably know, means I need a grand total of 4 6-pin connectors off of my PSU. My supply is a 700W so I figure it's got the juice, but I only just realized it only has 2 6-pin connectors. Is there some kind of adapter or head available so I can power the second GPU without needing a new power supply? TIA!
i think this is what you are looking for (8" PCI-Express Video Card Cable (PCI-Express Minifit 6-pin - Dual Molex 4-pin) it is a 6pin for the video card and plugs into two 4pin. it is like 5$ at the computer store i shop at.
You want something like this http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/searchdetail.asp?productID=10201 Not this, because this is a rip off, but something that looks just like that. Which 700W Power supply do you have? Not all 700W PSUs are up to powering two 8800GTXs.
