I haven't seen this addressed (probably because it's going to be a really stupid question).

Here's my problem. I'm using Photoshop Album to create Slide Shows. When I create a PDF show for my PC, it looks fantastic. When I create a DVD Slide Show to view on my TV, the picture quality is horrid.

I'm wondering (and here's the stupid part): I'm copying the show on to a CD-R. Should I be copying it onto a DVD-R? I had figured if CD-R wasn't right for my DVD player, it simply wouldn't work.

Do you think that's the problem? I'm also in the process of downloading a free trial copy of Photoshop Elements Premiere, thinking that Album just might not be the best software for making DVD slide shows.

If that's not it, does anyone have another idea? I know it's not just the difference between my monitor and TV, because even when I use Microsoft Media Player to view DVD Slide Show on my pc, it's awful there too. Only the PDF slide show looks good.

    I appreciate your help!

    Hello,

Your guess on the whether having burnt the slideshow to a CD (instead of a dvd) would have been a good guess, but if you say it was already aweful using the media player on the computer to view the slideshow it is not going to be any better after burning it.

PhotoDVD gives a good quality out put--simple software, fun to use. There is a free trial availabe no time limit but VSO logo appears on a portion of the screen. The software costs 24.99 dollars---must burn these slideshow onto DVD (and not CDs)

http://www.vso-software.fr (there is a presse release on news that shows screenshots of software and explains what the software is capable of)
