Hello. I've used my Nero Ultra 6 to make slideshows before. I don't what's changed, but that feature no longer works. My knowledge level is newbie. I'm on an Athlon 64 3200 w 1 gb DDR 400. My OS is windows xp home w service pack 2. I've got a Pioneer 110D dvd burner and a Plextor 24/10/40A cd burner. I bought my Nero online and 'will' regret it if this doesn't get fixed. I haven't got money to throw away. I just now checked to see whether I had the latest updates to my suite. What I don't get is that I did this just a month or so ago. But I see now that my Nero digital needed updating. But the update date shows Januray of 2006. I should have already seen that update. I just replaced NVE-3.1.0.25.exe w NVE-3.1.0.25 no yt.exe, which didn't fix my problem. It would be wonderful if all these updates put out by manufacturers for their software actually fixed glitches more often. I can load audio and video files okay and insert them into the slideshow area. But, often, once I've applied transitions, If I try to remove the first one or the last one, the whole thing crashes and I'm being asked whether I want to send Microsoft an error report. (I've sent one.) Sometimes I get past that and I crash instead when I attempt to play back the slideshow. (It's also odd the way the playback will choke on match up of audio length and video length, so that initially my playback is missing the start of the audio. But if I click it forward and then re-start it, there's the audio that was missing!) In any case, I can't get further than that without the whole program just crashing. I always turn off my Ad Watch and virus protection when burning anything (even though a friend suggested I only need to select 'high priority'). I'm also running Spyware Blaster, which I may or may not have turned off once, now that I'm thinking of it. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated. Thanks.
So, This is a support forum for Nero users. Yikes! What would I find elsewhere if I can't even get a single reply here.
