Right i have heard that you canot use the cd loader with the new slim ps2. This is what i have discovered if you want it to boot a cd based game you will need cd loader. My tested theory is that when you boot up cdloader it already says ps2 cd in the bottom corner so if you simply put a cd game in it and press x it should load up. Also if you want to boot a dvd game it should already say ps2 dvd in the corner if you use dvd loader so you can simply open your door and press x to boot the game. Hope this helps someone.
