well just got a ps2 bout 3 weeks ago. however when playing games it makes a grinding noise when trying to load game files. for example in def jam ny, when trying to load the images n stuff it makes a grinding noise and loads them. is this normal. im using a original game. also same problem with mk deception. games work ok, no probs at all. just the scratching/grinding noise when loading game files. anyone else got same prob ps using 70003 ps2 uk version
My ps2 does that sometimes too. I don't think its that big of a deal though. Just as long it isn't doing it with all of your games.
My PS2 use to do it w/ most of my games, but mine was it older version and it was modded. And now my PS2 doesnt work anymore I've been doing a lot of research online and apparently A LOT of ppl experience these noises which eventually lead to DRE's. But it is mostly with the "fatter" models. Havent heard too much about the slim ones.
I bought a new ps2 slim just a week ago, I´ve only played Socom II and after about 15 mins, it starts to make this loud noise, like something inside is running too loud, is this normal???
