Well, I'm not sure why, but my tranfer speeds for my xbox used to go up to almost 9MB
but now the transfer speeds will not go past 40kb. I have no idea why this is happening...I have tried everything. I have:

-read all the posts in the forum that have to do with ftp problems.
    -Reinstalled my xbox dash.
    -bought a new crossover cable.
-removed the nic card and put it back in. (worked for a previous ftp problem)

I transfered a file to my xbox HDD a couple days ago and it was transferred with no problem. Now it takes about 6 hours to transfer a 200MB file. If anyone has any insight on the problem it would be very appreciated....Thanks

if you are using flashfxp you need to turn passive all the way off. in the options tab

i had this problem and this was a good fix for me. I tried everything

if it wasnt the passive fix stated above, maybe it was a other traffic on your network/pc?

    maybe a faulty cable?

Is your NIC set to 100/Full Duplex or 100/Half Duplex? That was my problem, it used to be at 10/Full Duplex and it went about 40k/sec.
