i have a HP DV6500, Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit FireFox 3.0.4, IE Latest Version pages take very long to load. like atleast 2-4 minutes. but my download speed (of files) is normal. its just loading the page thats a problem. its always been like this, but one day it loaded pages normally. ya know, like in under a minute. it was fine for a couple of days, but then it started taking a long ass time again. both browsers.... ESPECIALLY IE!! how can i fix this?
i also forgot to mention, im connected through a wireless connection.. if that makes any difference.. i also tried the about:config thing w/ firefox.. not much difference, i think theres an actual problem. cuz after seeing it go normal, then take long again really frustrated me!
Have you tried a little PC mainenance? Eliminate temp files, junk files, browser cache, and history files. Check this out: http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144_4-10315544.html?tag=mncol And defrag? http://www.download.com/Auslogics-Disk-Defrag/3000-2094_4-10567503.html?tag=mncol This might sound too simplistic but I would start with this idea first.
Have you tried another web browser? if IE isnt loading slow then its FF its self. try an older version instead.
