I have 1 video files that have ben encoded with a slower audio rate than what it should have been it gives every one a lower sounding pitch to their voice anyway to fix this? its Xvid the frame rate is 29, if I could pay the DVD without paying collectors price I would but because the bastards always hated reboot I am down to "reasonable facsimiles" till they release a real box set under 100$ >>
You can try demuxing the audio with VirtualDub. Then load it into 'Audacity' then try the 'Pitch' effect to change it. It says you can change the pitch without changing the tempo. If it works, the new audio can be loaded back into VirtualDub and saved without recompressing the video. I put in the links for codecs that VirtualDub might need, but you might have them installed already. VirtualDub, load AVI. Click 'Audio' >'Full Processing'> 'Compression'>'No Compression'>'OK' 'File'>'Save Wav'. Audacity, load/drag wav file. 'Edit'>'Select'>'All' 'Effect'>'Pitch' Try the settings and if satisfied, click 'File' and export the new wav. VirtualDub, 'Audio'>'wav audio' 'Compression'> 'Lame mp3' and select a suitable setting. 'Video' > 'Direct stream Copy' 'File'>'Save as AVI'.
