slow dvd burning

    I got lite-on dvdrw 20a1p kl05.It worked fine for a while,then I got power calibration error few times.Now it need about 45 min to write a dvd for it needed about 10 min earlier.I've cheked in my device manager and my IDE chanel is set to PIO 4 and I can't enable DMA mode(check box is shaded).Please,someone,HELP!

    AMD 6400+
    250GB seagate barracuda
    2G DDR2 RAM

    Uninstall the IDE channel (right click > uninstall) then reboot - the channel will reinstall and default back to DMA.
    Usually the burner(s) are on the Secondary channel.

    I went through all of that million times,i've red hundreds of forums ...it's still the same,I don't know what to do?If you have some alternatve please let me know

    ...nice try,I got Vista ultimate,I'm using UltraISO(Alcohol won't work),TCUltimaPrime(TCBurner plug-in),my PC(C:\) is always in frozen mode under DeepFreeze Standard 6.0 ...

    ...nothing should go wrong...
