slow on start up

    hello all, i have an HP model 1140n, windows xp media edition. its a greta pc for my needs, however lately it really reaslly slow on startup, any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. thanks everyone.

    also, when i click on a link a new window opens up as it should yet nothing seems to load in this new window. it stays blank.

    run "msconfig" ...click the tab "startup"...and uncheck the boxes that doesnt need to be booted up while loading the desktop

    ok did all that, worked great. now what do i do about this next issue!!!! when i click on a link, a new window opens yet nothing happens (it dosent load).

    hmmmm... im not really into IE as much as Mozilla firefox (btw which i recommend)...i'll get back to you on that as soon as i can, but trust me ill end up finding the answer lol
