hey guys, im not sure if this is the right section to post this so here goes anyways, so lately I've been having problems backing up my movies and 360 games. the problem is the drive reads the movie/game verrrrrrry slowly and it takes about an hour to backup a movie where-as it used to take only 25-35 minutes to do the same process. the only thing that has changed is i went from vista back to XP. so any help would be greatly appreciated in getting my speeds back up to normal. thanks in advance
Check and make sure all your drives are in DMA mode and not the slow PIO mode. Here's a guide. Even if they show in DMA - go ahead and uninstall the ide channel for the drive - can't hurt and may just do the trick.
