When using CloneCD and trying to clone game CD's. If there are multiple cd's, the install disc reads at about 2400 kByte/s. But when i try to read disc 2, it starts off reading at 194 kByte/s and with in a fwe seconds, it drops to about 5 kByte/s.
Is this normal or do i have a problem.
I have a registard copy of Clone CD.

I've had CloneCD reading a disc 2 while being here and after 20 minuits, it's only read 1%. At this rate, it may finish sometime monday.

lol make sure your running a clean machine as in a doing a disc cleanup and defragging often at least twice a week if your ripping lots of cd/dvds.

second make sure your firmware is up to date on your drives check here

    http://www.firmware.fr.st/

third make sure your drives are in DMA mode NOT PIO mode you can check/fix that in device manager or use this guide to do it

Nothing worked and i don't think there is a Firmware update for the CDROM. I down loaded one thats for the drive i have and when i tried to use it, it says 'not the right Firmware for the drive' or something like that.

Now every CD i put in read at a snails pace. i even tried the CD recorder and the same thing.

Any other help or should i just go to Support. Or maybe ask for my money back.
