I seem to experience random slow playbacks when playing avi files. At least AVI is all I seen it happen with so far. The problem is, I will be watching it fine, then all of a sudden the video starts to go really slow, and the audio keeps going on fine. If I close and reopen it, it will start playing fine, but eventually go slow again at random times. Sometimes it doesn't happen for 30 mins, so times it happens in 4 minutes, ect. I tried reinstalling the k-lite plugin pack. I also tried using a different media player then WMP, but still same problem. Anyone have any clue what might cause this?
hi.i have exactly the same problem as the guy above!! its a pain in the ass, isnt it? As yet I havent had any real solution, its still an ongoing problem. I tried using VLC media player and it was a slight improvement for a while but its still happening. its really annoying when you run a movie for a little while and then it goes all fakked. have you come up with a solution? I cant find anything on the web, but if i do i will let you know. anyone else? Help!!
okay, i tried that but to no avail. can you explain exactly how you removed all your codecs, and which ones do you install for .avi files? I tried to follow the guide in the sticky, but it was brain frying. you have resolved the issue so it IS possible!! Please HELP!!
I uninstalled all my codec packs (divix, k-ligte, ect), then I followed the sticky and deleted any codecs there I found that were still in my system. Then I redownloaded k-lite and installed it with its basic codecs.
