What would cause audio encoded with TMPGenc 2.5 plus from AVI file (to MPEG 2 ) to sound slowed and deep pitched kinda like the "Darth Vader" effect (my wife's voice sounds like Barry White's in slo mo). Is there a setting in TMPGenc that I need to change to avoid this? The original AVI sound quality was fine.I've made several DVD's with MPEG2 files encoded with TMPGenc in the past with no problems

It sounds like some sort of Problem with the Sample Rate converter in Tmpgenc...If this is only happening with this file then I would sugest extracting the audio from your AVI file to Wav format and useing a seperate encoder to encode the audio...I would actually sugest getting an AC3 encoder and doing this for every file because AC3 is the best Audio format for DVD with a Much smaller file size than Wav and better audio Quality than Mpeg1 layer 2 audio ...One Freeware AC3 encoder is called "BeSweet" but I use Vegas Video 4 to encode the audio from my Video files to AC3...Cheers
