I RECENTLY BOUGHT A DVD BURNER AND INSTALLED IT AND THE NERO SOFTWARE THAT CAME WITH IT. IN TRYING TO BURN 5 SMALL VIDEO FILES, IT TELLS ME THAT IT IS GOING TO TAKE OVER 7.5 HOURS TO ENCODE AND BURN IT TO DISC. THE DVD BURNER I HAVE IS A LITEON 16X AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT TAKING THAT LONG TO BURN TO DVD. IS THERE SOMETHING I AM MISSING? THE SUPPORT WEBSITE FOR NERO IS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP.
ok first off.. turn off caps lock... what speed are you burning at? how big do you consider 5 "small" files? "small" is subjective. how much ram., what speed is your machine? what media? what format are the files in? how many things are you doing at once? dont multi-task..
sorry about the caps bad habit. burning at max speed, which is what the setting on nero is, which should be 16x. the files are 60.9mb windows media files i am running a p4 with 2gig of ram and burning to dvd-r i am not doing anything else with the system while it burns
@BRIAN314, mistake number 1 is that you are trying to burn too fast, normally most people here at AD recommend burning at 4X. 60.9mb is very small and should definately NOT take that long Do you have your Anti Spyware prog running while trying to burn
