I have been able to encode a 120min mpeg in less then 30min using a costume setting that matched the same bitrate as the mpeg I wish to encode. When I tried it today it takes 2 hours tring to encode the as mpeg I did in 30mins in the past. I'm using nero vision 4 that came with my nero 7. I have smart encoding enabled and changed none of my settings. so how can I check to see if smart encoding is still working other then seeing the logo in right coner with the video is encoding? any help would be great thanks. At the last screen, click on "Details>>" and look for "Audio SmartEncoding ratio:" and "Video SmartEncoding ratio:" If it says "0.0%" than your MPEG is being reencoded. You are not alone, I just posted my question on the same subject right before you.
