I have a smartripper and the new movies that are out now can not be ripped because of the new encryptions. When trying to rip a movie it would say "list index out of bounds".Is there a solution to this, if not, is there going to be an update for the smartripper to bypass this problem?
You can always use DVDFab Decrypter for the latest movies, it is [bold]free[/bold] and easy to use, it breaks the movie encryption while copying the movie onto you HDD. Link to download can be found in my sig
Or you can try RipIt4Me, it will interphase with the old DVD Decrypter program, then imports a PSL file into Decrypter which will rip your file, and a program FixVTS will open and clean it, after this DVD Shrink will automatically open and you can process and burn. Used in 1click and move only mode the program is easy and all the work is done for you. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110
Try Sothink DVDRipper: http://www.i'manidiot.com edited by ddp It designed by famous rippers' virtue altogether. It's the newest ripper now! And the menu is similar with your smartripper.
After you have ripped the movie you will need to compress the movie to fit to a blank dvd-5 (unless you are using DL media). You can use either Shrink(free) or nero recode2 to compress if you have it.
As you have DL media the best way of doing it is by using DVDD in iso read then Imgburn to burn. If you want to get rid of extra's, FBI warnings you can use a neat little program called VobBlanker (it will not alter any files, so no lose of PQ)
