Hope someone can help me with this one ! I downloaded an avi movie encoded with smr codec (collateral damage) plays fine in wmp and other players. Tried creating a VCD using my normal method for divx movies (demux audio with virtualdub, rename audio file with mp3 ext, load audio and video into tmpgenc and encode)but tmpgenc reports unsupported file type for audio file? I'm not sure on the original format for the movie either. When I check the properties for the frame rate + resolution it shows 20 fps and a res of 352 x 256 (I am using tmpgenc settings for a pal vcd) I'm probably being stupid and missing something, but I would sure appreciate some help! Thanks
you might want to check for a smr codec on kazaa or even an smr patch ....I downloaded those and it worked......Your welcome in advance.....................
Thanks, but I have already downloaded and installed smr codec. The movie plays fine, just no luck with converting.... Do you think a different method of convertion to mpg is required for avi's encoded using smr instead of divx ??? (don't really know anything about smr)
smr is a channel in Mirc you may have the codec but you still need the smr patch ....at the moment i dont have a link of where you can get it but I plan to have my web site up and will include it on my site......
u can d/l the patch in the smr website http://www.smrmovies.info/ i burn my movie directly from the nero burner without using any complicated methods. just burn and it will encode everything for me.
tmpgenc does not support .mp3 format, use virtualdub and sav audio file as a wav, this should fix ur probelm.
