Ok well this is my third thread cause i keep thinking of more questions! Well here goes. I've read soo many threads on the ipod. Almost all of which are BAD things about it. I mean people are talking about how it scratches so easily. sometimes the battery doesnt work. sometimes u can only get a few hours of listening time. not to mention that the screen can crack easily and apple wont replace it cause they are saying its our fault we broke it! i mean is there anything good about the ipod. cause i was really looking forward to getting my ipod w/video 60gb. but now im up in the air about spending 300 dollars on something that can break on the first day i get it! does anyone have a solution for me. it would be so greatly appreciated!! Thanx a bunch!

PS: sorry i have posted so many threads i just have a lot of questions and research going on about buying this ipod for 300 big bucks!

Well, this is a tech issues forum, and people come here to talk about issues & problems in hope of some help/answers. So that's why everything sounds 'bad'. The iPod with video is very good - I am happy with Mine :) iPod video screens only break if they are misused, so you can't really expect Apple to pay out to fix damage you incurred..

dude.. i suggest you get an iPod if you wana use it for life..a psp is good too.. its kick ass..and the problems of it can only be fixed by the user itself.. with a lil help of course...get an iPod video..30gb.. why? coz a 60gb is way expensive, and we wont be able to use up all of it..trust me..i have a 30gb.. my only problem is when i play video on it.. the audio isnt synchronized with the video..i'll find a way to fix this though..so..yeah..it does get scrathed easily..if ever you are getting an iPod, get some kinda casing with it...try "toughskin"..it'll look good on the ipod..and a lot of protection..

My IPod Video (30 gig) has been flawless since I took it out of the box. ITunes uplods great, PQ DVD does a good job on movies (although I wonder about the usefulness of movies on the dinky screen), and I believe most all problems are solved by doing things in the right order and taking advantage of the great advice offered here. It is hard to believe that other devices don't have their own share of problems.

Yeah, this is a great little one-stop for iPod problems :)

Encode a video at 2000kbps and 30fps, with 128kbps audio. That is television quality video, a thing of beauty :)
