i've been hearing some speculation of a fairly quickly coming release date of a new "m3 lite" that won't stick out of the ds. any idea if the new version is going to be an improvement over the old, or just a slimming down of the original? also, any idea of what the price might be? I don't know if i can wait much longer to get one, but i don't want to be smacking myself if something better and cheaper comes out a week after i get it.

What is there to improve on?
There won't be any slimming down.
Price will probably be about the same as the miniSD, maybe $10 more.
The microSD card prices is what'll kill ya :p

You could always buy a G6 till then, and then sell it on ebay (if you have an account with reasonable feedback)

thanks, that's all i needed to know. i couldn't give two hoots if the cart sticks out, i just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be some major overhaul or something.

He's probably talking about features. The M3 Lite is supposed to be the same size as that dust cover that comes with the DS Lite.

Not a clue, as I don't think a release date was ever given. It shouldn't be too much longer though.

As for performance, microSD has the same performance as SD and miniSD. No better, no worse.
