I just got back from a weeks hols to find my SV4 not working and i've been reading a few of the threads about the "NAG3" changeover in Ireland the past week to try catchup. I'm confused though because I thought this already happened earlier this year when all the boxes went?? e.g. threads such as this: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/757514 I've tried searching the forums for clarification of exactly what has happened but can't find any clear explanation. Can someone explain it to me? What happened back in March/April? Was that not Nag3? If so what was it and how come only the likes of SV4's could be fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
We were sort of at a halfway house on the road to N3. N2 was still in place and while harder to make a N2 fix it was possible to dump a certain N2 card that UPC were using and create a fix. But now UPC are switching off N2 onstream like they did with N1, Only difference is N3 has not been hacked, publicly at least, which means we are stumped until N3 gets hacked somewere around the world.
not sure which prog/station as i missed the start but either RTE Radio 1, newstalk or today fm They said that they have a allaid investors worries by introducing new encryption system which cant be beaten and that people could bin their illegal boxes and they talked a bit about their new HD and being able to compete against S*y by offering broadband packages with telephone service something that s*y cant really do
Yeah the only reason I'm staying with ntl cause their broad and is nice and cheap but saying their HD service compares to sly is a joke Sly have sports, movies etc on HD , while ntl have history and discovery on HD. No comparison really
