Soft-Mod Help...Ive done it before but dont know what happened this time

I've done 4 softmods so far without any problems. I was doing the softmod the original AUF game. I went through the whole process until I got to the part where I load AUF from the load mission and it takes me to the "matrix" screen. What do I do from there? It says to press B from from there or it wont let the xbox read any burn discs/games. The xbox now also wont read my CD-R or CD-RW disc with AID v3.0 installed. I have the EVOX dash and when I put in the CD_R it reads "NO GAME" but with the CD-RW with the .ISO it reads GAME but when I load it turns dark and goes back to the EVOX Dash and in LTools it will read Auto Installer Disc v.3. Im sure I did everything thing but to no avail..Any Help

 

are you sure that xbox had the updated dash on there??the 5960 ms dash??

but other than that it sounds like a Evox .ini file is wrong but since i dont use evox never have never will i cant really explain how to fix it...

 

It probaly was sumn with not having the updated dash. I thought it did since they had a online updater file in the memory section but maybe thats the prob. Is there anything I could do now as its already kind of partially modded and I dont have an xbox account either since my is modded also?

Well SID 4.5 is the newest and most stable softmod out, i would remove the old one and install 4.5 if you need it pm me.....

I have sid 4.0 posted there if you want it. If you are somewhat new to softmodding, 4.0 is better. 4.5 is better for the more advanced people.

i usually prefer 4.5 because there was some bug in 4.0 when people used the dual boot option.....it didnt happen to everybody but thats why they released 4.5 right after 4.0 was released...

 

No, I totally agree with your ridges, but I've talked to the people that made it and they say that if you are new to softmodding, 4.0 is better. Thats why I was working with one of the guys to release a non-buggy version of 4.0 so I can use it in my tutorial...but right as I went to go test it, the Xbox I was given to test it on got error 13 and then hdd caught on fire lmao.

Anyways, I do agree with you about the bug in 4.0. I was going to convert the tutorial to 4.5, but I was working on a non-buggy 4.0
