soft modded xbox upgrade hdd problem does anybody know what this means and how to fix it ?

does anybody know what it means after you select the lock hd-a and it ask dont know how to get password??? i say yes and it gives me a screen that says the and keeps typeing y"s at the bottom it's like this

and it just keeps typeing y's
so is this an extremely long loading screen to upgrade hd or an error please help me fix this

 

im not sure what utility you are using but maybe i can be of assistance. i havent been doing this long but here is what i would do. It sounds like you are telling to grab the code from the eeprom. Do you have a backup copy of your eeprom on your PC? if so boot windows with the xbox hdd set as a slave. Get liveinfo (do a search) and select your xbox hdd. then hit load eeprom and it will give you the lock code. Write it down then Shut down the computer and go back into the lock utility and type lockhd -p x where the x is your new lock code. Try that and see if it works.

yah sorry i forgot to mention i am useing the xbox hdm 1.9 or 1.8 if that works
but yah what program did you use or are useing because that would be cool this program isnt working as well you know
